Tough Decisions
It’s crunch time. In order to pay the rent, I need to work. Work that’s paid! Therefore I’m now registered with a temp agency & about to sell my soul for £6.50 an hour.
I’ve registered with Dragon’s Den now. The reasoning is that I really, really believe that bog will be profitable and successful, and can make a very positive impact on the lives of wheelchair users, as well as others such as carers of adults with learning disabilities. It’s important to get the product out there, however I do it. Though I’d like to keep 51% of the business simply because that meets the working definition of a female entrepreneur!
Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been working on datemymate.net - which I hope will be income generating soon, but unfortunately not soon enough to allow the luxury of time to spend on my eco project. Paying the rent has to be the priority in the real world! Someone asked me if I was prepared to work on telephone chat lines yesterday. I’d rather work for an estate agent.
So today I’m going to continue working on datemymate.net - which, although environmentally irrelevant, I want to use to provide the capital to support my eco project. Helen came up with some good ideas for it yesterday, such as producing flyers to give out on Broad Street once the site is thoroughly tested.
So many interesting projects… so little time.
