Different perspective

This temping thing is actually proving enjoyable!

The people I’m working with are lovely. They’ve been really welcoming and friendly, and things seem so straight forward in comparison to the work I’ve been doing for the last three years! There are things to do, in a set order, and instructions on how to do them… most of the time.
I’m setting up a hiking weekend club with the woman who shares my office. She’s new to the UK and wants to go on affordable weekends away to beautiful places - hence ‘Birmingham Social Climbers’ has been formed. It’s quite useful this knowing how to set up a voluntary organisation thing!

I’m ‘hot desking’ because there’s someone crying in my office. Nothing I could do but make tea and keep out of the way. I’m now at a desk with a view.

Now it’s Sunday night. We’ve just come back from London after a night out to see the Lee Shores at The Social. The band was great and Mike clearly enjoyed spending time with old friends. The weather was atrocious, some of the time. Monsoon style rain, and then sunshine. I was walking about in a vest top most of the day, despite it being October.

I’ve had a few emails about Birmingham Social Climbers. It would be nice to get something off the ground. I hope that Mike likes his birthday present!
