On the plus side, I’m sleeping very well and my jeans are looser… at the expense of being somewhat achey and uncommunicative. When M has been working in Tábor at the flat, he comes home with a super solar shower full of hot water for me. We can’t wait to have the water supply connected, but we are still waiting for any information from the phone company O2.
This morning as I was working on windows I saw two young goats playing hide and seek on next door’s roof. They know they’re not supposed to be up there because when the neighbour returns to wherever we’ve been, they jump off quicketysnap. I spotted our neighbour repairing his roof the other day & wonder if it’s goat related damage. If they don’t buck up, they’ll be stew. Read the rest of this entry »

Dear Mr Nicholas,
I wonder if you could help me. I am a UK citizen living in the Czech Republic. Currently our home is without water because O2 Czech Republic have failed to provide us with the information we need to dig a new well.
As I say (in bad Czech and English) in the email below from the 22nd May, we need to know where any cables are situated in the area of our home in order to have permission from the local authorities to drill our well. I have also phoned the Czech 02 number provided for English speakers several times with no luck - I have left messages but I need a call back on the Czech number 776 795 080 or UK number 0121 288 2950.
As director of communications, I hope you could assist me in directing this communication to the right person in the Czech Republic. I’m sorry to have to resort to contacting someone in the UK, but the situation is becoming desperate.
Please help! Living on bottled & transported water is arduous.
Thanks so much,
